The Teignmouth Outdoor Cinema

Here’s a fun Teignmouth news story to start with! The town council is planning to bring an outdoor cinema to Teignmouth for two nights in June. Two big screen films are scheduled to be shown at the Teignmouth Rugby Club grounds on the 9th and 10th of June. However, to ensure this fun family event goes ahead, more pledges need to be made. So get involved and make a pledge to help make the outdoor cinema in Teignmouth a reality!

Violent waves close car park

Teignbridge has been hit with high tides and winds lately and, at the start of the month, the Point car park had to be closed. Teignmouth News saw the Council release photographs showing severe waves crashing over the car park. The Point car park is one of the main car parks in Teignmouth. The severe weather conditions also resulted in a number of disruptions and issues being caused to transport services. Hopefully, this was the last of the bad weather as we head towards Spring! Praise goes to Teignmouth care home

Amidst the news stories of failing care homes across the country, we were ecstatic to hear that the specialist care home, Riverview, has recently been praised for its outstanding services. The Teignmouth care home was inspected by an independent health regulator who stated that the home was “outstanding in the way they cared for people” and “[provided] a strong person-centred culture”. Riverview is part of the Priory Group (mental healthcare specialists) who are famous for treating celebrities and addictions. Read the full story here.
