Maudlin Drive, Teignmouth – Refurbishment

Our client had recently purchased the property and was keen on modernising the house from top to bottom. Phase 1 was to start through the main entrance into the kitchen and lounge as the existing kitchen area was dark and very compact. Our client’s aim was to install quality finishes and upgrade the ground floor living space to give the house a more modern and contemporary feel. This involved the site team supporting the existing second floor using acro props before inserting a steel beam to form the open plan affect.  This was challenging due to the existing hidden arch framework and also the existing beams already in place within the ceiling, but all works were carried out skillfully and in line with the Structural Engineer’s recommendations and calculations. Once all structural works were complete, 1st and 2nd fix works were carried out with our client being extremely satisfied with the final completed works. Due to our client being extremely satisfied with our works we are now in discussions to carry out phase 2 works to the external elevations and 1st floor of the property.
